Key Responsibilities:
- Case Processing: As a Patient Safety Monitor, your primary responsibility will be to process case files according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). This includes working collaboratively with affiliate offices to ensure the necessary data is received and assessed accurately. You will also be responsible for assigning event codes and completing initial and follow-up reporting assessments.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adherence to corporate compliance guidelines and programs is crucial in this role. You will schedule expedited and periodic regulatory reports, respond to Manufacturing Quality Assurance (QA) requests, and launch quality investigation records when required.
- Knowledge and Expertise: To excel in this role, you will need to maintain a working knowledge of various aspects, including Alcon products, eye anatomy, common diseases, ophthalmic evaluation procedures, eye terminology, and safety databases. Additionally, you will process and review surgical complaint records in accordance with Alcon’s SOPs.
- Quality Assurance: Your performance will be measured based on your ability to meet both internal and external quality standards. You will review and close files within prescribed timelines and ensure the creation of high-quality regulatory reports for submission.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical or healthcare industry regulations is a plus
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Proficiency in computer applications and data management
